Half-Day Walking Tour of SantiagoPrivate service with guide

Fall in love with Santiago's charms by discovering it the most local way: on foot. We will begin the tour by taking the metro and seeing some of its most picturesque stations. For example, the "Universidad de Chile" station, adorned by a mural from a local artist, has been chosen as one of the most beautiful in the world. We will visit a local market to appreciate the wealth of coastal produce, reflected in its fish and seafood, and its diversity of fruits and vegetables. We will continue walking through downtown Santiago to the Plaza de Armas, a showcase of the fantastic architecture that shines in every corner. Chilean flavors will not be absent, and we will make stops to try local snacks like empanadas and drinks made with local fruits. Finally, if energy and time allow, we will reach the Bellavista neighborhood, one of the most representative with its charming streets. From there, you can explore the city on your own (we recommend going up to Cerro San Cristóbal) or return to the hotel after a day of unforgettable experiences.

Midday Excursion to Ahu Akivi

Shared service

On this fascinating journey through the central zone of Easter Island, we will delve into the archaeological legacy of Rapa Nui's ancient inhabitants. We begin at Ahu Akivi, a unique ceremonial platform where seven moai stand facing the ocean, traditionally in honor of the first explorers to reach the island. This site, laden with symbolism, invites us to connect with the ancestral worldview of Polynesian navigators.

We continue to Puna Pau, the red scoria quarry where the pukao (the topknots crowning some moai) were carved. From this point, a panoramic view opens towards Hanga Roa village, allowing us to contemplate the harmony between landscape, culture, and spirituality. The route also takes us to Ana Te Pahu, a cave formed by ancient lava flows, used as a refuge and dwelling by the Rapa Nui in times of instability. Inside, the archaeological remains reveal what life was like in this subterranean environment, full of history and resilience.

This tour allows us to understand how astronomy, geography, and spirituality intertwined in the construction of ceremonial centers during the final period of the moai. Each visited site is part of the closing of the Ahu-Moai phase, reflecting the cultural development and deep connection of the ancient Rapa Nui with the universe.

Meals included: Breakfast.

Accommodation on Rapa Nui.

Day 4: Easter Island

Breakfast at the hotel.

Full-Day Tour to Tongariki, Rano Raraku Volcano & Anakena Beach

Shared service

The day begins at Ahu Akahanga, a ceremonial site steeped in history, where oral tradition indicates the first king of the island rests. It is said he chose this place after abandoning his original settlement in Anakena, leaving traces that still whisper stories of the past. From there, we head to the imposing Rano Raraku volcano, known as the quarry or "moai factory." On its slopes and surroundings lie nearly 400 statues in various stages of carving, silent witnesses to the art and spirituality of the ancient Rapa Nui sculptors.

The route continues to Ahu Tongariki, the island's most extensive platform, where fifteen majestic moai stand facing the ocean, restored to their original splendor. This place is a symbol of cultural resilience and connection with the ancestors. After a lunch break, we resume our journey to Te Pito Kura, home to a rock with magnetic properties, known as "the navel of the world." Here also lies the Paro moai, the largest ever transported from the quarry, a monumental work that defies time and logic.

To conclude this experience, we visit Hanga Rau o Te Ariki, one of the most significant sites in Rapa Nui culture. Facing Anakena Beach stands Ahu Nau-Nau, surrounded by white sand and crystalline waters. This place, believed to be where the history of the island's first inhabitants began, invites a pause to enjoy the sea and connect with the essence of Rapa Nui.

Those who wish may bring a swimsuit to enjoy approximately 30 minutes in this paradisiacal bay.

Meals included: Breakfast and Lunch.

Day 5: Easter Island

Midday Tour to Orongo & Rano Kau Volcano

Shared service

In this unique experience, we delve into some of the most important ceremonial centers of Rapa Nui, where history, geography, and spirituality intertwine.

The day begins with the ascent to the majestic Rano Kau volcano, whose crater—the widest and deepest on the island—offers an awe-inspiring view of the interior lagoon and the cliffs plunging into the ocean. This natural setting of imposing beauty prepares us for entering the ancient ceremonial village of Orongo, where the cult of Make-Make and the legendary Tangata Manu (Birdman) competition were celebrated. Here, among petroglyphs and archaeological remains, you will learn the myth that stated whoever captured the first egg of the Manutara bird would be endowed with supernatural powers and rule the island for a year. The tour continues to Vinapu, a ceremonial platform notable for the precision of its stonework, comparable to Inca construction techniques. This site also features remains of moai and pukao, silent witnesses to an era of splendor and cultural transformation.

This route allows you to immerse yourself in Rapa Nui mythology, understand the worldview of its ancient inhabitants, and discover how the island's geography was key to the development of its deepest traditions.
